Alan Fredrick Blanton

Alan Fredrick Blanton, 76, of Mountain Home, TN, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Alan was born November 14th, 1946, in Lynn, Massachusetts, to George and Virginia (Sharkey) Blanton. He was raised and continued to be a long-term resident of Charleston, South Carolina. He attended Bishop England High School Charleston, SC, and was a graduate of The Citadel, the "Military College of the South." He was a U.S. Navy combat veteran of the Vietnam War. Alan was interested in history and baseball statistics.
Alan was the recipient of many honors including; the title of TN Colonel for Volunteer Services to Vietnam Veterans; Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Navy Unit Commendation Medal.
