On February 10th, 2020, Violet E. Norris was called to her eternal rest. Born April 7th, 1931 in Cookeville, Tennessee, she was the oldest of six children born to Ernest and Mary Kuykendall. While working as a waitress, she became acquainted with the love of her life, Steve F. Norris, and they got married after only one official date and made their home in Bristol, Tennessee. In addition to being a loving wife, she was a loving and devoted mother to Steve R. Norris. She spent the majority of her life in service to her Lord as a Bible teacher, singer, and musician. Numerous are the young people who gave their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ through her ministry.
She is preceded in her death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Ernest Lansden Kuykendall; and her sister, Elizabeth Hedrick.
Surviving are her son, Steve R. Norris; brother, Eugene Kuykendall; her sister, Dawn Wills and husband, Sanford; and her sister, Mary Ruth Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to your local church`s outreach ministry.
