Sheila Joan Dillard

November 29, 1963 - February 06, 2021

Sheila Joan Dillard, 57, of Church Hill, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6th, 2021.

She was born in Kingsport, TN in 1963 to Wayne and Charlotte Kestner. Sheila was an incredibly loving person with many passions in life. Sheila was a dedicated member of Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed teaching sunday school for many years. She loved her family especially her three grandkids (Aaron, Ava, and Andi).

Although she was dedicated to her church and serving the Lord she still found time to bake cakes and make candy. She loved attending family get togethers every weekend where they played games including her favorite volleyball.

Shelia met the love of her life, Darrell, 40 years ago. Together they have built a faith based family that will continue to grow. Although she is now gone, her legacy of love, faith, and kindness to others will live through each of them.

Sheila is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Kestner; daughter-in-law, Cindy Dillard.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband and soulmate, Darrel; sons, Chris Dillard, Chase and Jaclyn Dillard; grandchildren, Aaron, Ava, and Andi; father, Wayne Kestner; brothers, Terry Kestner and wife Pam, Michael Kestner and wife Sandy; several special nieces and nephews; a great niece; and a special sister-in-law, Lisa Herring.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial on February 8th from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral will follow with Everett Lett officiating and special music by Brenda Marshall.

Graveside will be held at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Jonesborough on February 9th at 11am. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45. Pallbearers will be Chris Dillard, Chase Dillard, Bryan Herring, Michael Kestner, Gabe Kestner, and Danny Wolfe.

The family would like to thank the kindness of the Amedisys Hospice staff especially Connie, Sara and Amanda.

John 14:1-7

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
