Sara Mellette, age 57, passed on February 10, 2021 in Bristol, TN due to complications of COVID. She was surrounded by those she loved.
Sara was born November 16, 1963 in Jacksonville, Fl to the late Tony and Virginia “Jinny” Clark. She spent most of her life in High Springs, Fl with her parents and two sisters, Janet Clark and Traci Marshall.
She married Richard Cohen in 1981 and together they had a daughter, Rachel Martin.
In 1983 she met the love of her life, the late William “Bill” Benson, and they had a son, Kenneth Benson. They lived a beautiful 25 years together.
In 2018 she married her husband Scott Mellette and they enjoyed traveling and discovering waterfalls til the very end.
She is survived by her husband, two sisters, two children, and 3 grandchildren, Justin Grubbs, Amelia Gorman, and Taya Gorman, along with many nieces and nephews, cousins, and those that she loved and accepted as her own.
She had a passion for horses, loved music, dancing, traveling, and spending time with those that she called friends and family.
A private memorial will be held for her on February 27, 2021.
