Gerlinde (“Linda” or “Omi”) Rose, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday (July 27, 2015). Omi was passionate about cooking and enjoyed allowing others to experience her creations. She was a fantastic story teller who loved sharing her animated stories with her family and friends. She was a beloved grandmother, mother, and a friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Bennett & husband Timothy; and two grandchildren, Robert and Elizabeth Bennett; sister, Inge & husband Willi Kremer; niece, Katharina Kremer; and nephew, Jens Kremer.
The family will receive friends on Saturday (August 8, 2015) from 9 to 11 am at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church (2517 N John B Dennis Hwy, Kingsport). The memorial mass will follow at 11 am. Committal services will be held at a later date at St. Peters Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD.
Immediately following the Mass, friends and family are welcome to visit the home of her daughter, Melissa Bennett at 2305 Wynwood Dr. in Jonesborough,Tn.
