Robert Thomas “Tom” Puckett, 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior and his beloved wife, Brenda, on Sunday (August 9, 2015) at Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol. Tom will be remembered for the elaborate stories he shared with others. Tom was a dedicated, hard-worker who enjoyed making everyone laugh. He owned several businesses in the Blountville area throughout his working life. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, fishing, and hunting. He was truly loved and will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Puckett; infant daughter, Vanessa Puckett; parents, Daniel & Oma Mae Puckett; and several brothers & sisters.
He is survived by two daughters, Nicole & husband, Jeff Arnold and Yvonne Puckett; son, Nathan Puckett; seven grandchildren, Megan Carroll, Mara Carroll, Andrew Carroll, Dylan Puckett, Grace Carroll, Katlynn Hicks, and Katherine Carroll; two great-grandchildren, Christian & Gavin Parrott; sister, Marie “Sally” Simpson; best friend, Jerry Chess; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The family will greet guests and share memories on Thursday (August 13, 2015) at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home Life Celebration Chapel (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport) from 5 to 7 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow with Pastor Chad Roberts officiating.
