Marie Pearl Navalta, 81, of Bristol, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
Marie grew up in Bristol and moved to Detroit, MI at the age of eighteen. She was married to Danny Vernice Navalta and had her son, Terry. She spent time working with the community women’s group during the war. Later in life, she moved back to Bristol to raise her kids and enjoy the area. She was a great mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved life, loved to paint, sew, watch westerns on tv, drinking her hot tea, she loved walking and taking care of her cat. Marie liked to make her grandchildren special clothes. She was a very special person who will be missed greatly by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Navalta; parents, John and Lilly Wix; and son, Terry Wayne Navalta.
She is survived by her five grandchildren, Lilly Williams, Mark Navalta, John Navalta, David Navalta of Kingsport and April Lawson of Gatlinburg; thirteen great grandchildren, Thomas Williams, Savannah Williams, Chelsea Navalta, Summer Williams, Emily Navalta, Hailey Navalta, Patricia Navalta, Makenzziee Navalta, Alice Navalta, Brooklyn Navalta, Ariella Navalta, Jasmine Sharp and Houston Williams; sister, Viola Harrison; daughter in law, Judy Navalta; and special friend, Judy Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 5pm – 7pm at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN) Funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Ralph Owens officiating.
