Linda Kaye Byington

August 05, 1950 - May 22, 2016

Linda Kaye Byington, 65, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 22, 2016 after a six year battle with cancer. She was born on August 05, 1950 in Ft. Belvoir, VA. Her father, SMGST James Falin, was in the Air Force, so as a child, she grew up travelling the world. Linda graduated from Northern Burlington High School in 1968 and worked at Tri City Radiology for over 20 years. In December of 1976, she married her husband of 39 years, Larry Byington. She was an active member at Rock Heritage Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school to young children until her health rendered her unable. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren, reading and travelling.

She was preceded in death by her father, SMGST James Falin; mother, Jean Falin; aunt, Annie Korn; and uncle, Alfred Korn.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Larry Byington; children, David Byington of Bristol, VA and Sarah Brooks of Kingsport, TN; twin brother, Sam Falin and wife, Bobbie of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Cori Brooks and Emily Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Rock Heritage Baptist Church (4838 Fort Henry Drive, Kingsport, TN) from 6:00- 7:00 PM with a service to follow. Graveside will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (1032 Caney Valley Loop, Surgoinsville, TN).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the family to offset medical bills and funeral costs, or a donation may be made to Rock Heritage Baptist Church (4838 Fort Henry Drive, Kingsport, TN) in her memory.
