John Bowman McLain Jr., age 60, of Church Hill, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Kingsport, TN on August 16, 1957 and was the son of the late John McLain, Sr. and Pansey Adkins McLain. He was employed by City of Kingsport and was a talented artist and he loved gardening.
Other than his parents, John was also preceded in death by a brother, Shannon McLain.
Mr. McLain is survived by his wife, Russellet Joan Henry McLain; step-mother, Genda McLain; daughters, Jaclyn McLain, Johnna McLain and Jill McLain; son, Joseph McLain; sister, Lola Regitz; brothers, Jack McLain (Rose) and Roger McClain; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rebecca Rimer, Miranda Carpenter and Trevor Bishop.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Pastor Ed McLain officiating. Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Church Hill Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
