Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home Obituaries

Jimmy Wayne Maxwell

December 30, 1964 - April 01, 2016

Jimmy was born in Roanoke, VA and then moved to Kingsport, TN as a child. He met his soul mate, Tammy, at the age of 17 where it was love at first site.  They were quickly married after school. He was a loving husband, a provider for his family  and a wonderful father. His son, Scotty, was his best friend and they loved to go hunting, fishing, and riding horses together. Later in life, he enjoyed watching his grandson play travel league baseball and he never missed a game. He loved life, loved to joke around with his family and friends and he had a big heart for everyone. Remembering you will always be easy, but missing you will be the heartache that will never go away.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Maxwell; and mother, Johnnie Woods.

He leaves behind his wife and soul mate of 32 years, Tammy Sue Maxwell; sons, Scott Wayne and wife Marli Maxwell, and Loyd James David Maxwell; grandson, Haiden John Gage Maxwell; mother in law, Wanda Tipton; father in law, Earl Hughes,  sister in law, Terry Hall; step-mother, Irene Maxwell; brothers, Tony and wife Sharon Sweeney, and Anthony Sweeney; sisters, Val and husband Craig Riner, Alicia Hicks, and Beverly and husband Steve Alls; several step-brothers; lots of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends; and a faithful dog, Harley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 06, 2016 from noon until 2:30pm at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 3:00pm at East Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Chad Roberts and Danny Walker officiating. Pallbearers will be family.
