Jalynn Chisholm

Her Journey in Life  “Death cannot eclipse our love for her, neither can it wither our precious memories.”
Jalynn Michele Chisholm, 17 passed away on May 7, 2021 (lovingly called “Jay”) was born on December 18th, 2003, in Bristol Tennessee to the late Tonya Michele Chisholm-Westmoreland and Terrence Chisholm. She was born and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee. Jalynn unexpectedly departed this life on Saturday, May 7, 2021 as a result of a tragic motor vehicle accident.

The youngest of five children, Jalynn primary education was in Fairmont Elementary School, Indian Trail Middle School, where she enjoyed both basketball and soccer.  At the time of death, she was a student at Education Science Hill High School, Johnson City, where she was a (Junior/Senior).  Throughout her young life Jalynn was a source of love and great joy to her family, she had hopes aspirations one day becoming a Veterinarian.

Jalynn was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Elder Theodorsia Chisholm-McMillan and James McMillan, and maternal grandparents Elmerine Westmoreland and Dennis Ray Westmoreland. She was accompanied into eternal rest by her loving mother Tonya Westmoreland.

Jalynn leaves to mourn their loss, her father Terrence Leon Chisholm of Plainfield New Jersey, brother Terik Chisholm and sister Taylor Chisholm of Charlottesville, Virginia, brothers Brian Ward (Brittany) of Kingsport, Tennessee, brother Brandon Westmoreland of Johnson City, Tennessee. An uncle Joseph Westmoreland and aunts Hope Westmoreland of Kingsport, Tennessee and Rev. Valeria Yancey of Plainfield, New Jersey, and a host of cousins, acquaintances and friends.

The family will recieve friends on Saturday, May 15th from 11:00 – 1:00 at The Church of Jesus Christ (479 Gravely Rd. Kingsport, TN). The service will follow at 1:00 with pastor Ronald Bo Westmoreland officiating.

Flowers and gifts can be delivered to the church prior to the service.
