Jama Marie Gauthier

On July first Jesus came down and reached for Jama’s hand, took it, and raised her out of her sick and tortured body and made her whole again. She’s now looking down on those she left behind as they grieve for her. Jama always had a compassion for people so when she chose her career path, she chose to be an RN.
She started her career in CA and in 1992 moved to TN where she continued that path until she retired.
Jama left behind a son, Joshua J.J. Gauthier; her sister, Valerie D. Maybriar of Mentone CA; seven nieces and nephews; one special niece and one special nephew; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, James M. Powell Sr; her mother, Gladys M. Logan; brother, James M. Powell Jr, her husband; Thomas P. Filoso, and longtime companion James Hedding.
Jama will continue to be remembered for her compassion and love that she shared so freely with everyone.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Lifebridge Christian church , 617 Donelson Drive, Kingsport, Tennessee. Service at 11am with lunch and fellowship to follow.
