Harold Lane, 78, of Chucky, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at James H. Qullien Va Medical Center. Mr. Lane was a lifetime resident of Tennessee; a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed living and working on his farm in Greene County. In his young age he owned and operated the Karaway Market and Deli in Kingsport, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Lane Smith.
He is survived by his two sons, Shannon Harold Lane. of Greene County, TN; Brandon Clay Lane, of Kingsport, TN and their mother, Dorothy Poston Lane, of Kingsport, TN; one sister, Carolyn Coates and husband Kenneth Coates, a niece, nephew, several loving cousins and special friend, Wannell Rodefer.
The family of Harold Lane extends a heartfelt thank you to all who befriended their love one during his earth life, especially the wonderful caregivers who gave comfort and diligent health care toward the end of his life.
A graveside service will be held Thursday December 21, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the VA National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 3/265.
