Gary Lynn Edson, 66, went to be with the Lord and his Heavenly Family on March 15, 2020.
He is preceded in death by his father, Loyd Edson; brothers, Michael Smith and Jeff Edson; and sister, Sharon Edson.
Mr. Edson is survived by his mother, Elsie Smith and step-father, Ralph Smith; sisters, Karen Browder and Cathy Cooper; brothers, Ron Edson and Alan Edson. He is also survived by his daughters, Jennifer Hickman, Amy Edson, Candace Edson and Lindsay Edson; his beloved grandchildren, Dallas Martin, Brianna Edson, Alyssa Edson, Elijah Edson, Brayden Rivas, Gabriel Rivas and Lucas Rivas; as well as his beautiful great-grandchildren, Gracelynn and Willow Martin. He was also loved by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends, including a very special friend, Georgia “Peach” Lee.
Gary was a fun loving, charismatic Casanova who rocked this world for 66 years. He was the kind of man who loved his momma more than anything. He always had a joke for any situation, loved watching football with his friends and family and teaching his grandsons the art of sports. Gary was a man that loved hard, one who loved music and appreciated the simple things in life while being surrounded by family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Trinity’s Life Celebration Center (Model City Event Center, 201 E Center Street, Kingsport, TN). Please come share your favorite memories and join us with food and casual attire as we celebrate the life of our father.
