David Wayne Sams, 71, a loving father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
David was born in Kingsport, TN and was a lifelong Tennessee Volunteer fan. He was also a proud Veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany during the Cold War. After his service he returned to Kingsport where he raised his family and worked at Eastman, retiring after 25 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Reba Lovely Caudill;
He is survived by his daughter, Elke and husband Alex Funk; grand daughters, Kieya, Isabella, Alexandra; brothers, Ben Sams, Jerry Sams;

A military honors ceremony will be held in the chapel at Trinity Memorial Centers on Friday, October 14th, at 1 PM.
