David Anthony Lawson, 55, of Church Hill, TN, passed away peacefully after his battle with cancer on Thursday, May 5, 2022.
David came into this world the youngest and last of his siblings, but he became a vital part in holding our family together when so much seemed to fall apart. He had a heart as big as his ambitions, and let any lost soul into his home no matter the situation. David served and honored his country, and he kept his passionate faith in the Lord always. A philosopher as well as a skeptic in the same breath, he was bursting with wisdom and perspectives he loved to share with all. He deeply affected anyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with him. David was a gentle and loving father, who took pride in raising his daughter to be as strong as him. She hopes to make him proud everlasting. David will live on in his many beautiful works of art and the acts of kindness he bestowed us with.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bobbie Lawson.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Josie Lawson; best friend “Little Bear”; brothers, Joe (Vonda), George and Dennis Lawson; sisters, Rhonda Laferty, Carol Nicholas (Emmit) and Debbie Lawson; loving companion, Jamie Wagers , who was with him in his final moments and her sons, Tanner and Lucas.
