Darrin Scott “Bear” Cavin, 50, went to be with his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Friday, July 15, 2016. Darrin was born and resided in Kingsport with his family. He was a friend to everyone who knew him. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Received nursing degree.
Darrin was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeremy Scott Cavin; father, Calvin K. Bear; brother, Eddie Lynn Bear; grandparents, Will and Elva Babb; mother and father-in-law, Peggy and Walter Ellis; infant niece, Destiny Ellis; infant nephew, Billy Patrick Ellis; and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving wife and lifelong companion, Cathy Ellis Cavin; daughter, Tiffany Cavin (Tyler); sons, Justin Allen Cavin of the home and Aaron Scott Cavin of Wisconsin; mother and stepfather, Raymond and Marcella Babb Cavin; brother, Douglas Keith Bear; brother and sister in law, William “Willie” and Tonia Bear; stepbrothers, Tony and wife, Patti Cavin and Danny and wife, Julie Cavin; stepsister, Rhonda and husband, Dwight Minnick; aunts, Ruth “Virgil” Arnold, Bonnie Babb and Clenis Babb; uncle, Jack Babb; very special aunt that he loved dearly, Marlene (Morrison) Manis; brother-in-laws, Jeff Ellis, Mike Ellis, Tony Ellis, and wife Aundrea, Billy Ellis and wife Amy; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 8 PM with Pastor Wayne Gilliam and Pastor Eddie Whittley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the mother’s home (1609 Clouds Ford Road, Lot 5, Kingsport, TN) for funeral expenses.
